Why does my bichon frise bring his stuffed zebra in the room when i vacuum?

my dog jasper (bichon frise) has a stuffed zebra that he has torn to shreds and i have sew it back up lol well now he doesnt touch it it just sits in the corner UNTIL i start to vacuum while im vacuuming he throws it toward the vacuum and follows me around the house throwing it were it goes…. whats up with this ????!@!!
