A few corporations have picked up on this trend. Whether because they really care or they are just catering to another marketing segment, they are making small changes. As the awareness increases more people are paying attention to where their dollars go and what companies they invest with.

Big Blue

What was the big blue streak in the sky? Did anyone in SC see it?

It was cloudy tonight when I was on the way home. I just happened to be looking at the sky when I saw a big blue/greenish ball streak right over the car. It only lasted for about 1 and a half seconds and dissapeared- not over the horizon, it just looked like the light was extinguished. It looked like it was right over the clouds- really close. I know there’s supposed to be a meteor shower tonight but what I saw doesn’t look like any picture of a meteor I’ve ever seen.
Did anyone else see it? (I live in Lexington, SC) Does anyone know what it could be?

The Geminids (said meteor shower) peaked last night but viewing some is still plossible. It’s very often very hard to judge distance in the night sky. Also, meteors often don’t look like the traditional pictures. Photos often don’t show the ones with vapour trails behind them, or those that explode, or those that due to explosive jetisoning of smaller pieces, seem to spontaneously change direction.
